Workplace Violence Prevention Plan

UC Santa Cruz is committed to supporting campus safety and addressing any act of violence or threat of violence that occurs.  UC Santa Cruz is committed to creating a workplace where all employees feel safe and respected.

California Senate Bill 553 (SB 553); workplace violence prevention plan amended California Labor Code section 6401.7 and created section 6401.9




We are committed to continuous improvement and engagement by employees. Identifying, evaluating, and correcting workplace violence hazards.

    • Information, resources and employee support services.
  • Workplace Violence Reporting link
    • Accept and respond to reports of workplace violence and prohibit employee retaliation. Perform post-incident response and investigations. Identify, evaluate and correct workplace violence hazards.
