UCSC is a Smoke & Tobacco Free Environment

On January 2, 2014, the University of California joined more than 1,159 colleges and universities nationwide by implementing a UC systemwide Smoke & Tobacco Free Environment Policy. Smoking and all uses of tobacco are prohibited by the system-wide UC policy. Both the smell of burning tobacco and the appearance of the act of smoking can trigger cravings in those who are trying to quit or have succeeded in breaking their nicotine addiction. Learn more about the UCSC Smoke & Tobacco Free policy.
