Diabetes Prevention Program Informational Session January 13, 2026

Because It Works UC Diabetes Prevention Program

Tuesday, January 26, from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM

The Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) is a 1-year lifestyle change program that follows the guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Diabetes Prevention Program. DPP is a year long lifestyle change program designed for non-diabetic individuals who are at high risk for either prediabetes or Type 2 Diabetes from progressing fully to Type 2 Diabetes.

Register for the Informational Session Zoom link. The workshop will be recorded, and a link to recording will be sent out after the session. Note that the program requires live participation when it starts, and is not available for recording.

Workplace Mental Health Training for Supervisors and Managers January 15, 2026

Thursday, January 15, 12:00 PM – 2:30 PM

Risk Services has partnered with OHSU’s Oregon Institute of Occupational Health Services to provide mental health support training to UCSC supervisors and managers.
Developed by a NIOSH Total Worker Health Center of Excellence, this evidence based program teaches leaders:

  • To identify employee mental health struggles
  • Appropriate ways to respond to employee warning signs
  • Practical strategies to reduce employee stress

If you would like to participate in this training on Thursday, January 15, 12:00 PM – 2:30 PM, register here for the Zoom link. The optional two-week session will take place on January 29, 1:00 PM – 1:30 PM.
